I'l admit to being a fan of champagne & tend to find prosecco a pale imitation in general but this is a lovely refreshing, very drinkable fizz. Very light in the glass & a nose of peaches but no lingering acidity that ruins the cheaper prosecco sold in so many bars nowadays. Sun Apr 08 16:31:38 UTC 2012 Alison M. Wow, what a great bottle of bubbliness this is! Although a little muted by being chilled I can detect some crisp cox apple or Paxton pear notes. But sod the nose, it is the flavour that most important and it is classy, effervescent and very refreshing. And a little tip for you too! If you ever go to a "serious" wine tasting, then it can be really useful to duck out of the routine and grab a glass of something with fizz to to recalibrate the senses, and move on! Actually, I'm a home situation the reverse is kind of true, as you really get to enjoy the taste sensations! And this lovely jubbley bubbley sparkling wine is abfab, and especially so in lovely Riedel champagne flutes that actually enhance the drinking experience with their long body and tapering towards a narrow neck style - classy, and defo recommended over some style glasses that do not help the embibing experience!
