Lovely intense, dark colour in the glass and a wonderful aroma of spice, chocolate and dark fruits On the palate it is powerful but velvety smooth with a beautiful long finish. Initial tastes were blackberry, smoky plum, violet and dark chocolate. Warmth but not "hot". Not an incredibly long finish but decent length. Big and Bold and strong (maybe a little harsh!) would be the first impression of taste but after letting the wine breathe for 10 mins or so I experienced the 'Big and Bold & Fruity' with hint of spice and blackberry aftertones... very enjoyable and feels nice too :-D Would I buy again? (shallow i know but i'm a marketing mans dream, La Poderosa is next on the list! ) but will definitely buy it again because of the absolute nectar inside, a big bold dark fruity Aussie delight, fabulous stuff, the kind of wine your glad you decided to buy 2 bottles of, supposedly one for now, one for storing, will need to replace the storing bottle! jo b.
