On first opening, my wife and I both agreed - "this is interesting", and it is or was! We had chicken with tagliatelle, and petit pod tonight, with a creamy, white wine and pesto sauce - which was really very tasty! - and this worked very well with it. Why? Well, I guess the 80% Sauvignon Blanc provided the backbone of fresh citrus fruit, which was counter-balanced by the 29% Gros Manseng lifting the wine and giving it a softer side. This is a modest 13% abv too, pale yellow to look at, and really quite refreshing in a "Fiano" style. Maybe this is not going to delight everyone, but it cut through the creamy sauce and complemented very nicely the chicken and sweetness of the peas - and impressed. Barry W. Sun Mar 18 07:46:03 UTC 2012 Very clean crisp sharp finish. This has a very dry and balanced taste, a white wine which is perfect served with fish or a crisp salad. There are definite apple and pear notes here, plus a subtle citrus taste, which was NOT overpowering. Stephen G. Martin C. Sun Nov 13 16:14:06 UTC 2011 at a friends house jan t.
